Member of the Forum of Firms

The JHI Forum of Firms Group is a full member of the Forum of Firms. The Group consists of those JHI member firms that perform transnational audits and fulfill the membership requirements of the Forum. The Forum works to promote consistent, high-quality standards of financial reporting and auditing practices worldwide. The Forum brings together firms that perform transnational audits and involves them more closely with International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) activities in auditing and other assurance-related areas.

About the Forum of Firms

  • Established in 2002

  • Works with IFAC, the global organisation for the accountancy profession, in areas such as standards setting, dialogue with the regulatory community and promoting convergence to international standards
  • Conducts business primarily through the Transnational Auditors Committee (TAC), a committee of IFAC

IFAC Transnational Auditors Committee (TAC)

TAC is dedicated to representing and meeting the needs of Forum members. The committee plays a major role in encouraging member firms to meet high standards in the international practice of auditing. William Stocker of Marks Paneth & Shron LLP has been elected as a full TAC member for a two-year term starting January 1, 2010. William Stocker and Mark Tenzer are JHI's Forum representatives.

Mark Tenzer

Mark qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982. He is an audit partner and also holds an insolvency license. His clients are involved in manufacturing, property and charitable activities as well as bars/restaurants and the arts. Mark is also the firm's specialist adviser on inward investment.

William M. Stocker III, CPA

William is in charge of the MP&S Professional Practices Group. In this capacity, he and those under his direct supervision are responsible for reviewing all financial statements reported on by the firm to confirm their adherence to appropriate accounting, auditing and attestation standards. His other responsibilities involve implementing new accounting and auditing standards within the firm. William currently chairs the New York State Society of CPA's (NYSSCPA) International Accounting and Auditing Committee. His many other contributions to the profession include serving as a four-time Chairman of the Foundation for Accounting Education's Annual Auditing Conference. More >

IFAC Audit Committee

The primary objective of this IFAC Board advisory committee is overseeing the preparation and audit of IFAC's annual financial statements. Roberto Resa of JHI member firm, Resa y Asociados, S.C., is the 2008-2011 committee Chairman.

Roberto Resa

Roberto has more 25 years of experience as a public accountant and is a past member of the JHI Region of the Americas executive committee. Roberto became a member of the IFAC Board in November 2006. He served as Technical Advisor to IFAC Board members from 2002 to 2006. Roberto's professional contributions have included serving on the Board of Directors of the Interamerican Accounting Association (IAA), a regional organisation recognized by IFAC, from 1997 to 2003 and as Chairman of the IAA's Technical Committee of Ethics.
