Dan has a wealth of experience gathered over more than 30 years with public accounting firms and in corporate and senior management in resources, mining, manufacturing, business process re-engineering, process and system reviews, feasibility studies, procurement and implementation of gold loans. He is a Justice of the Peace, Registered Tax Agent, Registered Non-Profit Organization Auditor and Cooperative Company Auditor. Dan has valuable audit and accounting exposure to the statutory reporting requirements under the Australian Corporations Law, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards relating to commercial business operations in the private sector and Finance Administration and Audit Act requirements relating to the public sector. This has enabled him to develop excellent analytical, administrative and communication skills. Dan is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow Professional National Accountant (FPNA) with the National Institute of Accountants in Australia and a Fellow of the following organizations: the Institute of Chartered Company Secretaries Australia & UK (FCIS), the Institute of Corporate Managers, Secretaries & Administrators and the National Tax & Accountants’ Association (NTAA). A Master of Business Administration (MBA) Finance graduate from Canbourne University (UK), Dan has his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Auditing, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Corporate Management, A Chartered Company Secretary. Dan was approved as a Justice of the Peace in 2004. He is also Treasurer and Chairperson of the Public Practice Discussion Group, an active member of the Continuing Professional Education Committee and represents NIA at the Australian Tax Office on the Small Practice Tax Liaison Group. |
