Juan José, a Certified Public Accountant, is a Founding Member of Moratorio, Rodríguez Teodoro, Borrás & Asoc. (MRT). Juan José’s expertise is in international tax planning.

Established in 2001 through the merger of two traditional firms, MRT offers legal and tax advisory, consultancy (corporate structure, financing, international trade), audit, corporate finance and outsourcing services to local and international clients. The firm, made up of principal associates Dr. Javier Rodríguez Teodoro, Jorge Borrás Minetti and Juan José, 12 professionals and 18 assistants, is based in the capital city of Uruguay.

Juan José began his career in the investment industry where he gained experience on the Stock Exchange of Montevideo, as well as international stock exchanges. He later moved on to the tax and international audit field.

Juan José is a Master of Business Administration (MBA) graduate from the University of Montevideo and he has obtained his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Uruguay. His other education includes Portuguese studies.
