Joe, a Certified Public Accountant founded Berkovits & Company, LLP in 1982. He has over 35 years of experience in public accounting. His concentration has been in tax, accounting, auditing and litigation support. The firm is a member of the Public Companies Oversight Board (PCAOB). He is partner in charge or concurrent reviewer for numerous Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Registrants.

Joe is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Joe serves on the Board of Trustees for the City of Plantation Police Pension Board and has served as President and Treasurer of numerous civic and professional organizations in the South Florida community.

Joe earned an undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Miami after also attending the University of Illinois for a three-year period. He obtained his CPA certificate from the State of Florida Board of Accountancy.
